Junior / Intermediate Developer

Position Overview:

Job Description

The principle challenge of the junior developer is the implementation of viable, sustainable web based solutions which must link disparate business processes, systems, and relational databases in order to properly support business requirements.

Reporting to the senior developers, this person will liaison with business analysts and project managers to implement effective solutions with scopes that span a wide range of projects. The candidate will be equally comfortable working independently and in a team environment.

  • Sample Tasks and Responsibilities
    • Construction and activation tasks like table setup, programming, unit testing, data conversion, and production cut over.
  • Mandatory Experience and Skills:
    • Knowledge of VB6 the Microsoft .NET framework, C#, ASP and VB.NET ideally with a Microsoft certification (e.g. MCAD.NET, MCSD.NET)
    • CSS , HTML , XHTML
    • Scripting languages (JavaScript and VBScript)
    • Hands-on experience in custom web based application development, distributed application design, and systems integration
    • Microsoft SQL
    • Broad knowledge of Microsoft solutions architectures and next generation technologies
    • XML, Web services
    • Experience working in a multi-project environment
  • Desirable Experience:
    • Data modeling
    • Microsoft MVP
    • Web Graphics – ie Photoshop
    • Flash
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
